Laura Loftin, iRest Level II Yoga
Laura Loftin is trained in iRest Level II Yoga Nidra and is the Sexual Assault Response Coordinator of the 301st Fighter Wing, Naval Air Station Fort Worth Joint Reserve Base, TX. Loftin serves as the single point of contact for coordinating sexual assault victim care. She is responsible for executing the response and prevention efforts of the SAPR program to nearly 2,280 military, civilian, NAF and contractor personnel. As a Reserve SARC, Loftin also serves as a liaison to assist Airmen and 301st FW personnel with behavioral health support and crisis response as needed. The SAPR mission supports overall mission readiness and reinforces a local Air Force climate that is one of dignity and respect.
Loftin has over 20 years of experience in social service including both public and private sectors and in the federal government. Prior to her current position as SARC, Loftin served as the Director of Psychological Health for the 301st FW.
Loftin also served as the Installation Navy Family Advocacy Representative (FAR) for NAS Fort Worth JRB and Lead Clinical Social Worker for the Fleet and Family Support Center. As the Lead Advocacy and Clinical Counselor, Loftin provided short term solution focused psychological counseling for military individuals, couples, families and children in crisis. Family Advocacy duties included case management, education/prevention services, risk assessments, safety planning and treatment intervention for victims and offenders of Domestic Violence. Loftin served as a community liaison and worked with all branches of the military at the Joint Reserve Base to assist with education and prevention programs as well as collaborated with military and civilian agencies to ensure victims received support services. Loftin received the Meritorious Civilian Service Award from the Department of the Navy in 2013. Loftin also received the Director’s Award for Super Achievement, Special Act/Service Awards and numerous performance awards.
Loftin also worked as an outpatient psychotherapist in a local psychiatric hospital based program. She helped establish the curriculum for a new outpatient Women’s Center satellite. Eventually, Loftin separated to become the Family Advocacy Representative and Advocacy Clinical Counselor for NAS Fort Worth JRB, TX. Throughout her career, Loftin has valued a holistic and creative approach to both individual and organizational wellness and sustainability.
